Meet Ilana Danneman, PT
Hi! I'm the guru and owner behind this site. I have been a physical therapist since 1986 and I specialize in Dynamic Development, product and home solutions and special people! I graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a BS in Physical Therapy. During my early PT years, I worked in a variety of facilities including Emory Hospital and the Sheperd Center. While raising my 4 children (an ongoing process:), I worked as a writer and catalog director for Abilitations and then as a consultant for Fun and Function, Flaghouse, Experia, and the Friendship Circle all specializing in servicing children with special needs. Having worked with many expert PTs, OTs, SLPs, classroom teachers, and PE teachers, I developed a respect for product ingenuity, 100s of products, blogs and videos, and a love for combining play, movement, and education into my practice. I have a passion for biomechanics and teaching anyone how to move with quality (including parents!)using unique tools and toys. When not working I can be found podcasting, writing, going for walks, hikes, or spending time with my family. I am the wife of one incredible man, the mother of 4 awesome people, and one spectacular little miniature dachshund and 5 chickens! I love helping the families with whom I work and donating my time to feed people, donate food, or items for special needs. Call me so we can get acquainted and get your child moving and your space working for you!
